Corel Painter articles

Hi, I'm Cat Bounds, and this is my first post in my new blog. Almost 2 years ago, I was delighted to be asked to do a tutorial article for Corel Painter Magazine's 8th issue. I thought it was a one time shot, but I'm still doing them, freelance, each month, sometimes as many as 3 articles but usually one. I just finished an art study for the 27th issue. I'll post some of the art and possibly a little about the tutorials here, though I've been advised that it would be illegal to use them in full, and I'll gladly honor that.

I've always painted in traditional media, but I remember the first time I ever opened Corel Painter. I was totally intimidated, and I scurried back to the familiarity of Paint Shop Pro, where I had begun doing digital art, but each day I opened Painter again until the intimidation factor dwindled, and I began to feel at home. A couple of years later I won the Corel Painter Photo Master award with a photo I had taken at Garvan Gardens. That's the painting up there.
